David Nordfors
Ph.D., Molecular Quantum Physics
David is a Swedish physicist, active in the field of science, innovation and society. As the initial Director of Research Funding of the Knowledge Foundation (KK-stiftelsen) he created the first and largest Swedish quality controlled research funding system for university colleges. It is recognized to have broken down the borders between universities and university colleges in research, and fostered research collaboration between university colleges and industry.
Nordfors is the founding Executive Director of the Stanford Center for Innovation and Communication at Stanford University.
Nordfors' work with the Pakistani television station, SAMAA TV, has been awarded for its role in bringing local issues of innovative development to the forefront of public awareness in Pakistan. David is a visiting professor at the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (Tech Monterrey) in Mexico, and visiting professor at the Deutsche Welle DW-Academy.
