Peter Bale - Vice President & General Manager Digital, CNN International

Peter Bale is responsible for CNN’s non-TV services outside the United States, including mobile and the international edition of CNN.com. He joined from Microsoft where he was responsible for international programming on MSN. A former Reuters journalist he has also run web products for the Financial Times and The Times.
CNN was one of the first organisations to embrace the tablet by launching their free iPad app in December 2010. CNN.com's international website and mobile services are produced by dedicated staff in London and Hong Kong, working with colleagues at CNN's world headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, and with bureaus worldwide. CNN.com relies heavily on CNN's global team of over 4,000 news professionals. CNN made headlines this summer when it acquired the personalised magazine app Zite.
