William Mondora
Executive Producer, Director of News, CBS Newspath

Bill Mondora is Executive Producer, Director of News and Administration, for CBS Newspath, the network’s affiliate news service. He has held the position since 1998.
At CBS Newspath, Mondora has managed the continuing development of the news service. Newspath serves a growing and increasingly diverse group of affiliates and clients which use Newspath content in their publishing, webcasting, cable casting and broadcasting businesses. Newspath is a 24-hour multi-platform newsgathering and production service, which fields 9 full-time correspondents reporting exclusively for CBS television affiliates. Mondora oversaw the implementation of CBS Newspath digital satellite distribution, as well as the design and development of the Newspath Now affiliate video server system. He was instrumental in the conception and creation of NNS, a joint affiliate news video-sharing venture with Fox News and ABC News. In 2011, Mondora is leading Newspath’s transition to new technologies and strategies for newsgathering and content distribution.
Mondora has worked at CBS News for 22 years. In 1997, he was appointed the deputy director of news for CBS TeleNoticias, CBS News’ 24-hour Spanish and Portuguese-language cable news channel. While at CBS TeleNoticias, he managed the installation of the first CBS News production video server, as well as the launch of a Portuguese language news service for Brazil.
Prior to working at CBS TeleNoticas, Mondora was a senior producer for CBS Newspath in New York, overseeing the Live News Center and the CBS Newspath regional news feeds (1993-1997). He joined CBS News in 1989 as a southeast regional producer, based in Tallahassee, Fla.
Before joining CBS News, Mondora was managing editor at WCPX, now WKMG, the CBS affiliate in Orlando (1987-1989); and assignment editor for KWTV, the CBS affiliate in Oklahoma City (1987). Prior to that, he was a reporter for KTOK Radio in Oklahoma City (1984-1987). He began his 30-year career as a desk assistant at WCFL Radio in Chicago (1981-1984).
Mondora was born on May 5, 1959. He was graduated from Northwestern University in 1981 with a B.S. in Journalism. He and his wife, Katie, live in Connecticut and have two sons: Chuck, an attorney at law, and Tony, an accountant and software specialist.
