I am a Media & Business Strategist specialising in Communications, New Media and Strategic Management.
As a journalist I have worked with the Greek State Television (ERT) and global media organizations such as Al Jazeera English and CNN International. As a Media Consultant I have consulted companies such as Camelot UK, Coca Cola, the IOC and Eurovision. I am an ardent advocate for Collective Intelligence, what Surowiecki called ‘the Wisdom of the Crowds’.
In 2007 I felt that conventional Media were entering a ‘mid-life crisis’ phase, in the sense that New Technologies and Innovation were already shaking the foundations of their well-established identity and creating an uncertain future for them. I thought that this turning point in the Media could well be a very interesting turning point in my life and career. I went on to study Strategy and Innovation in Said Business School at Oxford and Transnational Media and Globalisation at London City University. I loved it.
It was clear that as the Web was becoming more powerful and technology cheaper to acquire, millions of people were getting connected as elements of a nascent and ever-expanding global network. How fascinating is that! News collection and news dissemination would never be the same. Three years of intensive studies on Globalisation, Innovation and Strategy followed and in 2010 I launched Global Thinkers (www.globalthinkers.com) a next-generation Communications and Business Intelligence company, advising clients on Media and Market Insight and also promoting the concept of global thinking.
I’d like to think of myself as a ‘connector’ and a promoter of Innovation, Positive Change and Global Thinking.
