Martim Cabral
Foreign Editor and Deputy Editor, News at SIC TV

Martim was born in Lisbon in 1952.
He lived in the United States and Britain where he joined the BBC's Monitoring Service in 1975. From there he moved the World Service where he worked as a producer, reporter, editor and finally Deputy Editor Newsgathering.
In 1992 he returned to Portugal as Foreign Editor of SIC TV the country's first private TV station. In 1993 he moved back to London to help set up BBC World Service TV News. In 1996 he moved back to Lisbon for the last time. He is currently Foreign Editor and Deputy Editor, News at SIC TV. He presents a weekly foreign affairs programme and a weekly programme reviewing hotels and restaurants (which is what he really likes doing!)
