On 14 November, 2012, the largest-ever News Xchange kicked off in Barcelona, Spain. Despite crippling national strikes across the host country, our delegates came -- some, like Daniel Rivkin, driving from southern France, and others, like CNN Freedom Project producers Lisa Cohen and Leif Coorlim, facing 14-hour delays in airports across Europe. In the end, 461 delegates from 65 countries and more than 175 organizations made it to Barcelona and helped create one of the strongest News Xchange conversations ever.
