1500 - 1715 Panel / Afternoon Debate on Key Safety Issues that now preoccupy news organisations around the world. Is it time to re-examine safety training? What about the use of security advisers? Is there ever a justification for journalists or their safety advisers carrying guns? Are news organisations doing all they can to help their journalists who may be suffering from trauma or post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)?

Beyond safety training, News Xchange tackles the controversies surrounding the attacks on the Palestine Hotel and Al-Jazeera in Baghdad, on journalists in Israel and the Occupied Territories, and on local journalists around the world.
