Business Manager, Eurovision, Geneva, Switzerland. Eurovision Liaison, News Xchange

I bring nearly 30 years’ news and journalism experience to my role as the Eurovision liaison with the News Xchange team.

As Eurovision Business Manager, I am the lead contact with Members and Clients in southern Europe for Eurovision services, and I bring a passion for broadcasting and a great deal of experience and energy to the role.

Earlier this year, I was the Head of Regional Development for the Middle East, following on from my work in 2010 as Head of Business Strategy for Latin America, identifying business development opportunities in these key markets.  

Previously, I held the position of Communication Manager in Eurovision's Marketing unit and, prior to that, I was Product Manager for News Services for Eurovision (2005 to 2008).

From 1994 to 2004, I was a Special Events Producer and News Coordinator for Eurovision in charge of various projects related to major events, from papal trips to Latin America to the rotating EU presidencies and coordination of the Eurovision News Exchanges.

I started my career as a radio producer and presenter, and later as a journalist on the foreign desk with RTP, this year’s host broadcaster. I’m delighted to be working with former colleagues and old friends in my native Portugal.

I am based in Geneva and I speak four languages (Portuguese, Spanish, English and French). In my work with the News Xchange team, I work closely with the Managing Director on both the commercial (sponsorship and delegate) and the editorial development sides.
