Project Manager, Kenes Turkey, a Kenes Group Company

Hi! I am Sebnem Ege from Kenes Turkey. This is my first year with the News Xchange and I am really excited to be a part of this event.

I was involved with the travel and conference management industry while I was studying economics at university. In 2004,  I had a chance to take part in various congresses and worked at every stage of organizing and operating meetings. So as you may guess I was skipping school very often from then on!  After I – surprisingly J – graduated from University in 2007, I was offered a position with a Congress Management Company in Ankara (the capital of Turkey). So I moved from my hometown – Izmir; a city that is near the sea,  to a city where most of the people do not even know how to swimJ .

After living in Ankara for about a year, I returned to Izmir and began work as a Project Manager in another Congress Management Company for three years.  At the same time,  I was following Kenes Company on the Internet and was wailing that it was not present in Turkey – until last year when I learned that ODS Congress Management; with over 25 years of experience in the Turkish Congress Market, would continue operations under the Kenes Turkey name. It was again time for me to take action...and come to work with Kenes. Now I am  living in Istanbul, one of the most beautiful cities in the world (and it is near the sea) and working as a Project Manager in Kenes Turkey.

As the official News Xchange travel partner; we are looking forward to give the News Xchange 2011 delegates a perfect service before, during and after their stay in Cascais in all registration, accommodation and travel issues.
